OMG YES! We’ve been watching a lot of an Irish YouTube channel called “The Try Channel” and it’s so funny seeing their American references.
It also reminds me of one of Dan Olson’s YouTube videos, where he talks about the problem with superheroes, and how American exceptionalism in media has gone from the world being excited when we show up to us single-handedly curb-stomping villains around the world with no regard to national sovereignty.
Fascinating to imagine that Sweet Valley High was a sensation outside the US!
